Touring With Dad

Touring around with my Dad might not be exactly the most exciting thing to do. But it is definitely one of the most precious moments for me. Since young, i never got to spent enough time with my Dad. He's out there always working hard for the family. We barely have enough money to even pay our utilities, not to say bringing my brother and i around. However, we do get Sunday special breakfast with my Dad every week. My brother and i will run to the market after getting some money from our parents to get Nasi lemak. It will always be the usual fried chicken wings that we love and all the other dishes that come with it.

Now the hard times are over, we are all leading the average lifestyles that i am very happy with. We have to be contented with whatever we have...  That's what my Dad teaches me everytime he preaches to me. After i got my diploma, my dad said just get married. But i objected. Its not about being not contented with life. We have to try achieving and pursuing dreams that we have. What is living your life if we don't challenge ourselves? In my opinion, we have to strike a balance of being contented and not. Maybe these doesn't make sense sometimes... Let me quote examples...

Right Example: Be contented with your love ones, do not be overly demanding

Wrong Example: I cant define one yet... Haha

I think i found one: Don't stop trying for what you want in life if you have not try hard enough.

Our Graduation

It was finally a burden off our dearest Daddys and Mummys... Thank you for all the love, care and effort in nurturing us. Graduating with 2 of my bestest pals was a wonderful experience. Seeing how our parents getting to know each other and talking about us was something i have always dream of. Dreams definately come true.

Friends who came down to give us their best wishes....Thank u very much. The cards were very meaningful, chocolates were exceptionally sweet on that day, and flowers were very very very pretty.

My 24th

I got old again on 31st of March 2007. And i guessed my friends and love ones love the idea of me getting old. Haha... Thus, they gave me a great celebration on that....Don't they just really love me? On the eve of my birthday, i thought it was just a simple dinner and thats it... but when i woke up the next morning.... they told me they are bringing me to somewhere else which i completely have no idea about. It was a state park. I wished we could camp there for a night.

However, there was plan B. Toronto... My birthday never ends without the club. What's new? Its the usual. But i like the idea of having it over and over again. I wish i can still party when i turn 40 with my self-proclaimed "COOl" friends that made me cool. You guys are part of my life. What is life without you lamers? haha

And my family and friends who never fail to remember my birthday... i'm really happy that u guys still could remember coz i'm so bad at remembering birthdays...I sucked. i don't lie....i was smiling to myself looking at the emails u guys sent, calls and messages.

And my dearest boyfriend...thank u for everything u did. Not just for that day but every single day of my life. Secrets... Muacks

Till then....with lots of love

Spring Break

2007 Spring Break, we went to Virginia. (Angelica’s hometown) It was still a pretty snowy weather from Buffalo to Virginia. We play “David’s likes” and “Stef likes but David dislikes” CDs. I guess we accommodate to one another’s preferences for music and try to appreciate it. That’s what I love about him, loving me and my likes. After 8 hrs, we finally reached Angie’s home. We were deadbeat and thus went straight to bed.

I was the last to wake up. The girls went to church and looking through the window, the guys were playing football. I heard Angie’s parents talking downstairs but I don’t really dare to meet them by myself. Then, I heard footsteps coming and a delightful voice said, “Shall we have breakfast?” It was Angie’s mum.

Sitting down at the table were Angie’s Dad, Mum and me. I can’t really describe what I was feeling. Am I nervous? Maybe. Fortunately, Angie’s mum was a great conservationist and I managed to keep it going as well. After the sumptuous breakfast, I went around and explored the house. The house is so resort –like, and I like the living room best.

After then, it was tennis with Chi Hoon, Angie and David. It was a good game. During the stay, Mummy made us lots of home cooked food and Korean ribs barbeque. We also went out for Sushi buffet, deserts, bakery and blah blah blah.

We were supposed to return on Thursday. However, we had a late lunch and the journey was delayed. Hence, Mummy thinks that it’s unsafe for us to drive back during the night and made us stay another night.

Since we had one more day, we went to Washington. And I finally realized something, I’m sick of museums. Well, till then…

Singapore Day

NYC is sooooooooo hot but chilly during the night. It was dinner at a Korean restaurant after 7 hrs of driving. Hee up and Francesca were like Daddy and Mummy for us. They drove us to NYC and kept pouring us with tonnes of food during meals. And thank u Dear Daddy for the dinner. We will be filial when you grow old.

Next morning, we got up at 9am and were ready by 10am for our Singapore Day. Look at the long queue … It was nuts long waiting for a bowl of Laska, Char Kway Teow, Bat Kut Teh and blah blah blah. Well, at least it wasn’t so bad, as they gave away goodies bags filled with Chili, drinks and etc. You also could hear the typical Lah, Aiyo, Wa Lao Eh… Hahaha

After the event ended, we went to 5th Ave for shopping. It was Crazy brisk walking as we had to complete our shopping and dinner by 7pm. After then, it’s our journey back home. It was a bonding weekend for us girls as well. You girls are great and friends for life to keep. I hope it’s mutual. Haha … …
